You're not alone....

In 2016, it was just me and my wife....

We had jobs but we were in a mountain of debt that I had brought into our marriage.

Then the bombshell of all bombshells dropped... We found out that we were pregnant with our first son. 

It was the happiest, yet scariest time of my life.

Fast forward 9 months our son, Benji, was born. 

Then something shocking happened... my wife expressed to me that she wanted to quit her job to give him "Mommy-Care" rather than "Day-Care"

But we couldn't afford it, she needed to keep her job. 

Then one day she sat me down, looked me in my eyes and said, "Chris, figure it out" 

I put my "big-boy" pants on and went to work. I started a blog and then eventually a YouTube Channel. 

At first, I was just going for views (like everyone else) so I could earn from Adsense. 

I had SOME success, but nothing to write home about. 

My biggest problem with trying to earn with Adsense only was I could never get anything to go "ultra-viral" for the big bucks... 

And even when a video actually did do well, it only made a couple hundred dollars a month which is great for the light bill or the cell phone bill... 

But not enough to replace my wife's $60,000 income. 

Then I tried 3 things that changed everything...

I began selling my own products. 

I began leveraging affiliate marketing

I began pitching brands for sponsorship revenue.

Long story short, with a LOT of trial and error, my income jumped from a couple hundred dollars a month to averaging $15,000 - $20,000 a month (see my Month to Month spreadsheet below)

And that wasn't all. 

When you included Affiliate and Sponsorship revenue, some of my best months, my business generated over $30,000+!

For you business nerds, I was operating with a 95% profit margin, so I was able to keep almost all of my money (minus taxes, of course)

And when a video actually DID go viral, it was the best of both worlds. I had some videos earn me as much as $19,000 in Adsense revenue. (a beautiful cherry on top!)

However... Adsense revenue was not important because it was VERY inconsistent... 

And as a result, I had a major "light-bulb" moment...

You don't need a TON of views to earn, you need the RIGHT views. 

Which means even if a video MASSIVELY under-performed from a views standpoint, most of those views were the future customers and clients that earned my business money. 

Does that make sense? 

No longer are we tied to videos "going viral" to earn a respectable income. 

But it wasn't just results for me...

When I was a "not-so big time blogger" I had a digital product teaching how to blog and incorporate YouTube into the mix for their businesses. 

I ended up helping people copy my business model for themselves in their niches. 

Thankfully, a handful of them eventually quit their jobs to create full-time. 

Including one girl that moved abroad to live a nomad lifestyle and a guy that went on to teach people how to play the drums. 

Cool, huh? 

The beautiful part is the process is repeatable (and now-a-days you DO NOT need a blog anymore. In fact, I wouldn't even recommend a website at all).
